AI Courses in Singapore: Find One by Goal, Tool and Funding
MySkillsFuture lists about 2,000 courses with AI in the title. This page narrows that to 70 you can filter by what you want to do, which tool you use and how you will pay. Nothing here is ranked. Every fee is checked against the provider or the MySkillsFuture directory, and the list is updated every two months.
Search “AI course Singapore” and most of page one is written by people who sell AI courses. Each list puts its own course first. The one independent list I could find dates from January 2025, before Copilot and Claude courses existed in any number and before SkillsFuture started giving away premium AI tools with selected courses.
So I built the list I wanted when people asked me which course to take. It covers 70 courses from 30 providers. You can filter it by what you want to do, which tool you use at work, the format and the funding. MySkillsFuture lists every course. This page helps you choose one.
I run AI workshops for companies. Eight of them are in the table, marked “my workshops”. They get no special placement, and they only appear when you choose “For my team”.

Which AI course fits your goal?
Start with what you want to be able to do after the course. The goal decides the format, and the format decides the fee.
| Your goal | The course type that fits | Typical duration | Full fee in this list |
|---|---|---|---|
| Use AI in your daily work | A short practical course on the tools | 1 to 4 days | S$299 to S$2,500 |
| Build agents or AI tools | A technical certificate or bootcamp | 1 day to several months | S$600 to S$12,000 |
| Lead and govern AI in an organisation | An executive or board programme | 1 to 3 days | S$1,020 to S$4,000 |
| Switch into an AI career | SCTP, an apprenticeship or a degree | 6 months or more | Varies widely |
Most people who ask me this question want the first row. They do not need to learn how a model works. They need to get a report, a proposal or a spreadsheet done faster on Monday morning, with the tool their employer already pays for. A two-day course that makes them use that tool on their own work is worth more than a five-day certificate in AI concepts.
The build row has changed the most this year. Two years ago it meant Python and machine learning. Today most new courses teach agents and automations with no-code tools, Copilot Studio or Claude Code. If you want to build agents, check whether the course expects you to code before you sign up. My list of agentic AI courses in Singapore shows which ones do.
Which tool should the course teach?
Learn the tool you will use at work. If your company runs on Microsoft 365, a Copilot course will pay off faster than a ChatGPT course, because you can use it the next day on your own files.
Search demand in Singapore has moved the same way. In Google Ads keyword data for Singapore, searches for ChatGPT courses fell by 65% to 78% year on year to October 2026. Searches for Copilot courses rose by 133% to 200%. Claude course searches barely existed before April 2026 and have grown every month since.
The course supply has not caught up. Of the roughly 2,000 AI-titled courses on MySkillsFuture, 45 name Copilot, 43 name ChatGPT, 14 name Claude and 9 name Gemini. Most courses teach “several tools”, which usually means a tour of each. That suits a beginner. If you already use one tool every day, look for a course built around it. My list of Copilot, ChatGPT and Gemini courses in Singapore sorts 101 of them by the exact product they teach. I wrote a separate guide to Claude courses in Singapore, and a comparison of ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini for APAC businesses.
Citation capsule
In the MySkillsFuture course directory as published in September 2026, about 2,000 of 26,782 courses carry an AI-related title. Of those, 45 name Microsoft Copilot, 43 name ChatGPT, 14 name Claude and 9 name Gemini, so most Singapore AI courses teach several tools rather than one. (MySkillsFuture, 2026)
Which format fits?
The same topic can come as a one-day workshop or a nine-month programme. This is how the formats in the table compare.
| Format | Typical duration | Full fee in this list | Funding | Suits |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Short course (WSQ) | 1 to 4 days | S$400 to S$2,200 | Course fee subsidy, SkillsFuture Credit, UTAP | Using AI at work |
| Certificate (university or polytechnic academy) | 1 day to 12 weeks | S$299 to S$12,000 | Course fee subsidy, SkillsFuture Credit | Going deeper, with a recognised name |
| Pathway (NTUC AI-Ready SG) | About 30 hours, in modules | S$300 to S$1,300 | SkillsFuture Credit, UTAP | Building up step by step |
| SCTP | 3 to 6 months | Fee often not published | SCTP subsidy and training allowance | A career change |
| Diploma or degree | 6 months or more | S$9,000 and up | Varies | A formal qualification |
| Free online | 1 to 4 hours | Free | None needed | A first look before you pay |
| In-house workshop | 2 hours to 2 days | From S$3,500 per workshop | Not SkillsFuture funded | One team, one tool, your own work |
A WSQ course is one accredited under Singapore’s Workforce Skills Qualifications system. That accreditation is what unlocks the course fee subsidy, so a WSQ course with a high headline fee can cost less than an unaccredited one with a low fee.
How do you pay for an AI course in Singapore?
Most Singaporeans pay a fraction of the full fee. There are five schemes, and some of them stack.
The SkillsFuture Credit gives every Singapore Citizen S$500 from age 25. Singaporeans aged 40 and over also get a S$4,000 mid-career top-up, but it only covers selected courses with stronger career outcomes, so check the listing before you count on it.
The course fee subsidy comes off before you pay. On most accredited short courses it is 50% for Singaporeans aged 21 to 39 and 70% for those aged 40 and over. Universities and polytechnics often go higher. The notes in the table show the provider’s own figure where they publish one.
The SkillsFuture AI Subscription is new. Singapore Citizens aged 18 and over who take an eligible course get six months of one premium AI tool for free. The choice is ChatGPT Plus, Google AI Pro, Manus AI, Microsoft 365 Personal or the Singtel AI Pass. Claude is not on the list, so see my guide to Claude courses in Singapore if that is your tool. You can redeem it once, and you cannot switch tools later. Look for the “Free AI sub” label on MySkillsFuture, or the “Free AI tool” filter above.

Under the SkillsFuture AI Subscription, launched in September 2026, Singapore Citizens aged 18 and over who complete an eligible course receive six months of one premium AI tool: ChatGPT Plus, Google AI Pro, Manus AI, Microsoft 365 Personal or the Singtel AI Pass. Each person can redeem it once, and Claude is not among the tools offered. (CNA, 2026)
UTAP is for NTUC union members. It pays 50% of the fee left after other funding, up to S$250 a year if you are under 40 and S$500 if you are 40 or over. From May 2026 to April 2028 it also covers AI tool subscriptions, which makes it the only scheme I know of that will help pay for Claude.
Citation capsule
NTUC’s Union Training Assistance Programme (UTAP) refunds union members 50% of unfunded course fees, capped at S$250 a year for members under 40 and S$500 for members aged 40 and over. Between 1 May 2026 and 30 April 2028 it also covers AI tool subscriptions, with claims due within six months. (NTUC, 2026)
SCTP, the SkillsFuture Career Transition Programme, is for career changers. Subsidies run up to 70% for citizens and permanent residents and 90% for Singaporeans aged 40 and over, and some full-time learners get a training allowance.
Companies have the SkillsFuture Enterprise Credit, which pays towards public courses but not in-house training. I cover the rules and the 30 November 2026 deadline in what the Enterprise Credit can and cannot pay for.
What are the red flags before you pay?
Most AI courses in Singapore are run by people who care about teaching. A few patterns still cost learners money and time, so check for these before you book.
- An old course with a new title. AI moves fast, and a course code from 2023 can carry a 2026 title. Ask when the material was last rewritten, not when the course was last renamed.
- Prompt engineering taught from old screenshots. If the examples show tool versions from two years ago, the habits they teach may no longer apply.
- A “certification” that is only the provider’s own certificate. That is fine, but it is not an industry qualification. The AIGP exam from the IAPP is one example of a qualification that is.
- A tool in the title that the syllabus barely uses. Read the course outline for the hours spent in the tool itself.
- No named trainer. You are buying a person’s time. You should know who that person is and what they have built.
Seven questions to ask any provider
- Which tool and which version will I use in class?
- Who is the trainer, and what have they built with AI outside the classroom?
- What will I have made by the end of the course?
- What is the course code, and which funding applies to me?
- How many people are in a class?
- What support do I get after the course ends?
- What is the refund policy if the course is not what I expected?
A good provider will answer all seven in one email. The third question tells you the most. A strong answer names something you will build on your own work, such as a working assistant for your inbox. A vague answer about “understanding AI” tells you the class is mostly slides.
Which free AI courses should you try first?
Spend two to four hours on a free course before you pay for anything. You will learn what you already know, and you will ask better questions of a paid provider.
Anthropic’s AI Fluency: Framework and Foundations is free, takes about four hours, and covers how to work with any AI assistant well, not only Claude. Microsoft Learn has free modules on Microsoft 365 Copilot, which are worth doing before a paid Copilot course. Google AI Essentials is often listed as free, but completing it needs a Coursera subscription after a seven-day trial.
Public course or in-house training for your company?
Send people to a public course when you have one or two staff to train, when they work in different teams, or when you want to use the Enterprise Credit. The course fee subsidy makes public courses cheap per head.
In-house training wins when a whole team uses the same tool, on the same kind of work. The trainer can use your own documents, your own data rules and the tool licences you already pay for. People also learn from watching colleagues solve problems they recognise, which a public class of strangers cannot give them.
This is the kind of training I run, so treat this paragraph with that in mind. My workshops run from two hours to two days. They are priced per workshop, not per person, from S$3,500 for a two-hour session. They are not SkillsFuture funded.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the best AI course in Singapore?
There is no single best AI course in Singapore, because the right one depends on your goal. For using AI at work, pick a one to three day practical course on the tool your employer uses. For building agents, pick a technical certificate. For leading AI in an organisation, pick an executive or governance programme. The course finder on this page filters 66 courses by all three goals.
Can I use SkillsFuture Credit for AI courses?
Yes. Most AI courses listed on MySkillsFuture accept SkillsFuture Credit, and Singapore Citizens get S$500 from age 25. The S$4,000 mid-career top-up for those aged 40 and over covers only selected courses, so check the course listing. In-house company workshops and most free online courses are not SkillsFuture funded.
Are there free AI courses in Singapore?
Yes. Anthropic’s AI Fluency course and Microsoft Learn’s Copilot modules are free online. Separately, Singapore Citizens aged 18 and over who take an eligible SkillsFuture course get six months of one premium AI tool, such as ChatGPT Plus or Google AI Pro, at no cost under the SkillsFuture AI Subscription.
Is an AI certification worth it?
An AI certification is worth it when it is an industry qualification your employer or clients recognise, such as the IAPP’s AIGP for AI governance. Most course certificates are the provider’s own record of attendance. They show you took the course, but the skill you can demonstrate on your own work matters more.
Which AI course is best for beginners in Singapore?
For beginners, a one or two day practical course on one tool is the best start, after a free online course to learn the basics. Filter the table above by “Beginner” and “Use AI at work” to see 30 or so options, most of them with course fee subsidies and SkillsFuture Credit.
Which AI course is best for seniors?
Older learners get the most funding. Singaporeans aged 40 and over usually receive a 70% course fee subsidy, the S$4,000 mid-career credit on selected courses and a higher UTAP cap. A short, hands-on course in a small class suits most first-time learners of any age better than a long theory course.

§ MethodHow this was put together
The list started from the course pages of 26 Singapore training providers, universities and polytechnics, plus the free courses from Anthropic, Google and Microsoft. Every course with a TGS code was then checked against the SkillsFuture course directory dataset on data.gov.sg, September 2026 edition, which mirrors MySkillsFuture. All 20 coded courses were found there, and every fee matched.
The directory was also used to add the AI courses with the highest attendance and the AI governance courses that the first pass missed. Those rows link to their MySkillsFuture listing. Courses were left out when the fee could not be confirmed, when the page gave two different fees, or when the course is open only to a closed group, such as one university's alumni or one sector's wage-scheme workers.
Fees are the full course fee before GST and before any subsidy, as published. What you pay depends on your age, citizenship and employer, so the subsidised figure is in the notes only where the provider publishes it plainly.
Where a provider has a Google Maps listing with at least five reviews, its Google rating and review count are shown and linked, as read on 19 October 2026. That rating covers the whole provider, and for universities and polytechnics the whole campus, so it says nothing about any one course. NTUC LearningHub and NUS School of Computing have no single listing that matches the training arm, so they show none.
Nothing on this page is ranked or paid for. Readers can filter by the provider's Google rating, but the table cannot be sorted by it. No provider was told about this page or asked for a fee. The author runs AI workshops for companies. Eight of them appear in the table, marked as his, and only when the reader chooses "For my team".
