SEO agent build: the CRAFT framework, set up on your own accounts

I set up agentic SEO for your business the way I run it on this site: Context, Rules, Act, Final say, and Track and learn. It runs on your own Claude and DataForSEO accounts, your team runs the weekly loop, and you own everything.

Best suited for: businesses with a marketing or content person who can own a weekly loop, and a site worth working on.

For companies and teams. Your team acts on what the agent finds.

The problem this solves

Most Claude SEO setups fail before the agent writes a word, because nobody gave it proper context. It cannot see your business, your customers or your numbers, so it guesses, and it guesses with confidence. A folder of clever prompts stays a folder of prompts. What makes an agent useful is the context it works from, the rules it works under, the person who signs off and the log it learns from.

What you get

A working CRAFT system on your own accounts. I write the business context, connect Search Console, GA4, Bing Webmaster Tools and DataForSEO, set the rules, and hand your team a weekly loop and a monthly review they can run themselves. The same system has run on this site since it launched, and the article has the six-month numbers, flat ones included.

Who it is for

  • A business with one person who can give the weekly loop about an hour
  • A site with pages worth improving and some Search Console history to read
  • A team that wants to own the system rather than rent it from a vendor or an agency
  • A marketing lead who already uses Claude, or is willing to start

Who it is not for

  • Anyone who wants SEO done for them. That is agency work, and I run one
  • A site with little or no content. The agent has nothing to read
  • A team expecting page-one rankings from the agent alone. Links and PR still take people
  • Anyone who wants the agent to publish on its own. A person approves every change

If you want SEO run for you, that is agency work through 2Stallions.

§ 01What gets built

The five parts of CRAFT, for your site

Most agentic SEO tools sell you the “A”. They audit and draft, and some publish. The other four parts are what make the acting safe, and they are most of the build.

The CRAFT framework for agentic SEO as five cards: Context and Rules are set up once, Act runs every week, Final say applies to every change, and Track and learn runs every month, with an arrow showing each lesson feeding back into Context and Rules
  1. C

    Context

A one-page business context file the agent reads at the start of every session: what you sell, to whom, in which markets, how you sound, who your competitors are and what is off-limits. Plus a site inventory, so the agent never writes a page that competes with one you already have.

  2. R

    Rules

Written limits the agent follows every time, including the ones I learned the hard way: read the full monthly series before calling a keyword rising, check the live results before trusting a difficulty score, never state a percentage without its base, never publish alone, never generate pages in bulk. Hard limits go in as hooks, which the agent cannot skip.

  3. A

    Act

The weekly loop as a skill your team runs: Pull, Flag, Diagnose, Check, Approve and ship, Log. It pulls Search Console, GA4 and Bing data, flags pages by fixed rules, drafts one change per flagged page and checks each draft before a person sees it.

  4. F

    Final say

The approval points, written down: the strategy, anything published, anything outside the site and any spending. A person on your team signs off before a change goes live, and requests indexing in Search Console by hand, because Google's API cannot.

  5. T

    Track and learn

A decision log that records what changed, why, what should happen and when to judge it. The monthly review reads the log instead of anyone's memory, and every lesson becomes a new rule or new context.

How the two weeks run

  1. 01

Days 1 to 3: accounts and keys

We create your Claude and DataForSEO accounts together if you do not have them, and connect Search Console, GA4 and Bing Webmaster Tools. Every account is in your name and every bill goes to you.

  2. 02

Days 4 to 7: context and inventory

I interview you and whoever runs marketing, write the business context file, build the site inventory and record a 28-day baseline so the first monthly review has something to judge against.

  3. 03

Days 8 to 11: rules and the loops

I install the rules, the hooks and the weekly and monthly skills, then run the first weekly loop with your team watching. The first changes go into the log with judge dates.

  4. 04

    Days 12 to 14: handover

Your team runs a loop with me on the call. You get a written runbook for the person who owns the loop, and the date of the first monthly review.

You leave with

  • A business context file and site inventory the agent reads every session
  • Live connections to Search Console, GA4, Bing Webmaster Tools and DataForSEO, on your own accounts
  • A rules file and hooks, seeded with the rules I run on my own site
  • The weekly loop and the monthly review as Claude Code skills
  • A decision log with the first entries already in it
  • A written runbook for whoever runs the loop

Your Claude plan and DataForSEO usage are billed to you by those vendors. They are never folded into my fees, so you always know what the tools cost.

§ 02After handover

How it runs after handover

Weekly loop

PullFlagDiagnoseCheckApprove and shipLog

The agent pulls data ending three days back, flags candidates, drafts one change per page and checks it. A person approves, ships and logs. About an hour of that person's time.

Monthly review

JudgeLearn

For each change at least four weeks old, compare 28 days before and after: keep it, undo it or try again. Then turn each lesson into a rule or context. On Support, this is our 60-minute call.

Quarterly reset

CompareReprioritise

Three months against the three before, which is how Google says to read traffic changes. Prune rules that no longer earn their place and refresh the inventory and priorities.

§ 03What it did on this site

Six months, flat numbers included

I have run this loop on dhawalshah.net since it launched in early 2026. From April to September the agent widened what the site shows up for: pages earning impressions rose every month. It did not lift rankings onto page one. Terms ranking in positions 4 to 10 fell from 28 to 8, because the limit was authority, not the agent. The site has about one relevant site linking to it, and no agent can earn links for you.

These are percentages on a small base, so read the direction rather than the size. The full snapshot, with the charts and the two reasons impressions fell, is in the agentic SEO article.

Search Console measures for dhawalshah.net, April to September 2026
Measure April to September 2026
Pages earning impressions Up:+120%
Search terms the site appears for Up:+56%
Clicks Up:+320%
Impressions Down:-6%
Search terms ranking 4 to 10 Down:28 down to 8

Why have me build it

I run this system myself

The rules in your build started as mistakes in mine. The trend rule, the live-results rule and the denominator rule each cost me time once, and the log is what stops them costing it again.

You own everything

The accounts, the keys, the context file, the rules and the log all sit with you. There is nothing to migrate if we stop working together.

I know where the agent stops

Running an agency, I know where an agency still earns its fee: links, PR and being accountable for results. I will tell you when you need one rather than sell you a bigger build.

§ 07Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Q.01How much does an SEO agent build cost?

The build is a flat S$3,490 and takes about two weeks. Support after that is optional: Support at S$490 a month or Support Plus at S$990 a month, both billed quarterly in advance. Your Claude plan and DataForSEO usage are paid by you directly to those vendors and are never folded into my fees.

Q.02Do you run our SEO after the build?

No. Your team runs the weekly loop and acts on what the agent finds. Support gives you a monthly Judge and Learn call and email help, and Support Plus adds updates to the skills and my own edits to your rules and context. If you want SEO run for you, that is agency work, and I do it through 2Stallions.

Q.03What is the difference between Support and Support Plus?

Support, at S$490 a month, is a monthly 60-minute Judge and Learn call plus email support, and you edit your own rules. Support Plus, at S$990 a month, adds skill and method updates as search changes, fixes, me editing your rules and context, up to two improvements a month and faster replies. Method updates are only in Plus.

Q.04Whose accounts does the system run on?

Yours. The Claude and DataForSEO accounts are in your name, I help you create them during the first days of the build, and the bills go to you. If we stop working together, everything keeps running.

Q.05What do we need before the build starts?

A website with Search Console set up, ideally with a few months of history, GA4 on the site, and one person who will own the weekly loop. During the build I need a few hours of your time across the two weeks for the interviews and the handover sessions. After that, the loop takes about an hour a week and the review about an hour a month.

Q.06Will the agent get us to page one?

Not on its own. On my own site, six months of the loop lifted the number of pages earning impressions by 120%, but the number of search terms ranking in positions 4 to 10 fell from 28 to 8, because the site's authority was the limit. An agent does the routine work. Earning links and press still takes people, and that is what an agency charges for.

Q.07Does the agent publish changes on its own?

No. A person on your team approves every change before it goes live. The hard limits are written as hooks, which run on their own and cannot be skipped. Requesting indexing in Search Console after a change also stays manual, because Google's API can check a page but cannot ask for a recrawl.

Q.08Is this the same as the SEO training workshop?

No. The AI SEO and GEO workshop teaches your team how AI search works in half a day. The SEO agent build leaves you with a working system on your own accounts, running a weekly loop on your own data. Teams who want both usually do the build first.

Want the training rather than the build? See the AI SEO and GEO workshop.
