AI Fluency and AI Governance Training for Boards and Management

A plain-English AI governance training for directors and senior managers. In two hours, your board learns what each kind of AI does, how each one fails, and what good oversight of AI and AI agents looks like.

Best suited for: Board directors, C-suite and senior managers who oversee AI without building it.

For companies and teams. One-to-one sessions for individuals aren't available.

The problem this solves

Most boards now hear about AI at every meeting, but few directors can tell a chatbot from an AI agent, or say what the company has actually deployed. That gap makes oversight hard. Directors either wave AI through or block it, because nobody has given them a simple way to ask the right questions.

About this workshop

This AI fluency and AI governance session is a two-hour AI training for board directors and senior management in Singapore and across Asia, run in person or on Zoom. It explains the four kinds of AI in plain English, sets out the governance AI agents need, and ends with twelve questions for the executive team. Pricing starts at S$3,500 per workshop, not per person.

Who should attend

  • Board directors and independent directors
  • CEOs and C-suite executives
  • Senior managers who sign off on AI projects
  • Risk, compliance and audit leads who report to the board

What you'll need

  • No technical background is needed
  • A list of the AI tools and agents your company uses, if you have one, so the examples fit

What your team will learn

  1. 01

The four kinds of AI a leader has to tell apart

Generative AI writes and summarises. AI agents take actions. Automation follows fixed rules. Predictive analytics forecasts. Boards often treat them as one subject, which is where oversight goes wrong. We map each one to examples in your organisation and look at how each fails: a wrong answer, a wrong action, a silent error or a biased forecast.

  2. 02

    What changes when software acts

An AI agent can send the email, update the record or place the order. The question shifts from whether the output is good to what the agent is allowed to do on its own. We look at levels of autonomy, where a human approval step belongs, and why the answer depends on the task and the risk.

  3. 03

    Governance that fits the risk

Approval thresholds, named accountability, an AI use register and an incident drill. We walk through what Singapore's Model AI Governance Framework for Agentic AI and the PDPA ask of organisations, and where the EU AI Act applies if you operate in Europe. The aim is proportionate oversight, not a policy nobody reads.

  4. 04

Twelve questions for your executive team

A short list of questions tells a board whether AI is under control: what is deployed, who owns it, what it may do unsupervised, how errors are caught and what it costs. We work out which ones your organisation can answer today, and which need work.

  5. 05

Making AI a standing agenda item

AI oversight fails when it is a one-off briefing. We agree what the board should see each quarter, from the AI use register to incidents and results, so the session becomes a routine rather than a memory.

Why teams book this workshop with me

I run these workflows myself

I use AI agents and AI workflows every day at 2Stallions and on this site. The workshop teaches what I actually run, not what I have read about.

Support after the session

Your team gets the materials and templates, and I answer follow-up questions as they start using what they built.

A board-level view of risk

As an SID Accredited Director, I can answer the questions leadership asks about data, risk and accountability, not only the how-to.
